Joint replacement surgery removes a joint damaged by age-related osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or injury, and replaces it with an artificial joint, with the aim of relieving pain and restoring function for daily activity.
Knee replacement
For patients whose knee osteoarthritis has progressed to the point that pain significantly limits daily life, we also offer patient-specific instrumentation (PSI), a planning approach using a three-dimensional model built from the patient's own CT data. Because the degree and pattern of joint deformity differs from person to person, a guide matched to the individual joint shape is intended to support accurate implant placement and to help reduce the risk of complications.
Hip replacement
For hip osteoarthritis or a femoral head condition affecting the hip joint, we offer both total hip replacement and hemiarthroplasty (partial replacement using an artificial femoral head), chosen according to the patient's condition.
Shoulder replacement
For shoulder conditions where other treatment has not sufficiently relieved pain or restored function, shoulder replacement is available. Most shoulder procedures other than joint replacement itself are performed arthroscopically, supporting a smaller surgical wound and helping to manage post-operative pain.
