A long-established obstetrics service supporting childbirth, together with gynecology care attentive to each woman, across every stage of life.

Our obstetrics team, built on decades of experience, provides careful, safety-conscious care through delivery, including epidural pain relief available around the clock, every day of the year, with the aim of a satisfying birth experience for mother and child. We began offering umbilical cord blood collection early on, supporting both public cord blood banking and private banking for a family's own future use.

Our gynecology service treats benign tumours of the uterus and ovaries, and certain malignant cervical conditions. Physicians specialising in gynecological tumours and endoscopic treatment perform much of our work using laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, minimally invasive approaches that support faster recovery and a shorter hospital stay.

Childbirth

Epidural pain relief, available around the clock

With roughly fifty years of experience providing epidural anaesthesia, our experienced physicians are able to respond even to a sudden onset of labour.

Support through a healthy pregnancy

From parenting classes and health guidance to treatment of pregnancy-specific conditions, the hospital supports you as a whole through to delivery.

Care for your newborn

After birth, a pediatrician is available around the clock. We carry out newborn screening, a one-month checkup, and vaccinations, supporting your baby's growth at each stage.

Postpartum support

We offer breastfeeding consultations and parenting classes, among other support, to help with the concerns that can follow childbirth. Aromatherapy treatments and a dessert buffet are also popular with new mothers.

Breastfeeding support

We encourage breastfeeding after birth, with guidance from specialist staff, and continue to support it after discharge through our breastfeeding outpatient clinic.

A gentle, plant-based postpartum diet

We serve a grain-vegetable-fruit diet believed to support postpartum recovery, particularly milk production. Our celebratory meal and dessert buffet are also well liked.

Gynecology

Laparoscopic surgery

Surgery using laparoscopy or hysteroscopy generally causes less post-operative pain, supporting a faster recovery, a shorter hospital stay, and an earlier return to daily life.

Miscarriage management with reduced impact on the body

We offer manual vacuum aspiration (MVA), a same-day procedure recommended in WHO guidance for its safety profile. Because it is performed by hand with a soft instrument, it reduces the risk of injury to the uterine lining.

Kampo prescribing attentive to women's health

We support women through a wide range of concerns across the life course, treating menstrual and menopausal symptoms with Kampo herbal medicine and hormonal treatment. A Kampo specialist is on our staff.

Dysmenorrhea and PMS (premenstrual syndrome)

We listen carefully to each patient's concerns and offer lifestyle guidance and medication suited to the symptoms described.

HPV Vaccination (publicly funded)

The nine-valent HPV vaccine protects against infection with the HPV strains responsible for most cervical cancer. Women in the eligible age range can receive it at public expense.

• Girls from the sixth grade of elementary school through the first year of high school book through Pediatrics; from the second year of high school onward, through Gynecology.
• Please bring your pre-visit questionnaire and Maternal and Child Health Handbook on the day.
• You will be asked to rest at the hospital for 15 to 30 minutes after vaccination.
• A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under 20.
